Darsh is a dedicated Critical Care Nurse in the ICU at William Osler Health System, a network known for its exceptional patient care, respect for families, and strong clinical and ethical standards.

Widely admired by her colleagues, Darsh consistently goes above and beyond in her role. What truly sets her apart, however, is her commitment to organ and tissue donation. She is dedicated to providing exceptional end‑of‑life care for donors and their families—often staying past the end of her shift.

With extraordinary empathy, compassion, and respect, she supports donor families before, during, and after the donation process, while their loved one’s decision to donate is honoured. She also demonstrates unwavering hope for recipients and works diligently to maximize the impact of every donation opportunity to help as many people as possible.

Her commitment has not gone unnoticed. Darsh received the Donation Champion Award in 2022 after being nominated by Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN) staff for her outstanding dedication, advocacy, and impact in the field of organ and tissue donation. She has also been honoured with the Hidden Hero Award for five consecutive years, awarded by hospitals for her invaluable role in facilitating donation discussions with eligible patients or their families at the end of life. These recognitions are a testament to her steadfast compassion and excellence.

Darsh embodies the very best of our donation program. Her advocacy, heart, and leadership continue to make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of countless families and recipients.
